Plans must be realistic, relevant, reasonable and able to be implemented. If they are not, they can become just another book on the shelf, or worse, evidence of negligence in the case of litigation. If it doesn’t make sense, get rid of it. Testimonial: “Outstanding is how to describe the performance of Mr. Kevin Gilheany. Maritime Compliance International, LLC was contracted to set up the implementation of a Facility Security Plan for the New York City, Department of Environmental Protection Marine Operations. Mr. Gilheany’s knowledge and experience in this field is unparalleled. He provided a solid training program for the Facility Security Officer Certification and supplied an excellent Facility Security Plan for submission to the U. S. Coast Guard. The DEP Marine Operations Facility Security Plan was approved by the U. S. Coast Guard and we will continue to engage Mr. Gilheany’s services for the proper maintenance of the plan. Thank you Kevin for a job well done.”– City of New York 4/06
